Interview Notes
Camille Pagán is a multiple best-seller, known for fiction that focuses on love, loss, and making the most of this wonderfully messy life- which is, as we say at the start, exactly what we all need right now!
She talks about how most of her books come out of travel, the worst moment of her author career (Hint: it was after the release of her debut), and she has some great advice for writers and life in general on how to get past those moments.
Camille also covers how her latest book - THIS WON'T END WELL released in February - came to her fully formed with with one line "Hello seems like such an innocuous word, but it's really a portal to loss" . If you haven't read it yet, my review was " perfection for the kind of light-hearted read, with serious themes underneath that we all need right now".
Camille also chats about what she's enjoyed reading recently - HOW TO SAVE A LIFE, by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke as well as IF YOU MUST KNOW by Jamie Beck - which she says is "like the best comfort food" and THE book that got Camille over the hump and back into reading in the last weeks.
