Since its release last year, this novel has racked up so many awards, and Carol was recently named disability hero of the year by Springboard consulting for her work with this novel.

In our interview she shares more on her inspiration for the book, how reviews and feedback have touched her, and her writing advice which includes understanding the reason you write; your single inspiring purpose.
